The Kushner Companies Completes Another Successful Advisory Project: Asset Acquisition by NCCCO Creates New Subsidiary to Serve Crane Operators

Acclaimed organizational restructuring consultants, The Kushner Companies, were enlisted to help two organizations ― client and vendor ― become one seamless company.

 

CHEVY CHASE, Md. (November 5, 2015) ― After months of careful planning, during which they relied upon the insights of David Kushner and his associates at The Kushner Companies, The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) announced in late August that it had reached agreement to purchase the assets of the International Assessment Institute (IAI). Because the NCCCO had long been IAI’s principal client, this consolidation represents a unique marriage of client and vendor and an opportunity to more tightly align their overlapping missions to improve and ensure crane operator performance in the United States.

NCCCO, which is headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, now has offices in Redding, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, and in Dunedin, Florida.

The structural change at NCCCO was intended to create enhanced opportunities and efficiencies for the organization, and will support the nation’s more than 280,000 NCCCO certified crane operators who the organization has served since its founding.

“The integration of CCO candidate processing into NCCCO’s operations is designed to create a greater cohesiveness that will result in internal efficiencies and enhanced service to NCCCO’s many thousands of industry stakeholders,” said NCCCO’s Chief Executive Officer, Graham Brent, in a company press release. “Within the context of NCCCO’s 20th Anniversary, this acquisition marks an exciting new chapter in the organization’s further evolution as the leading industry provider of safety-related credentialing services.”
